 | | ABOUT ME |  | “About Me” has to be in the context of Sutton Group the corporate entity, and Sutton Group Associates Realty Inc., the company with which I am in Toronto.
I’ve been selling real estate for over 15 years and find that meeting and working with people to help them realize their plans and dreams is very rewarding to me. And job satisfaction is very important in a profession as demanding as is real estate sales.
Buying and selling a home is dealing with what is probably your biggest financial asset /investment, and this can be a most stressful time. I really like to be able to make a difference…to make this experience minimally stressful, and even enjoyable, through understanding and anticipating needs and meeting them through service at all levels. BACKGROUND – BROAD AND DIVERSIFIED Professionally I hold a Master of Social Work degree, being trained in the art of counselling in the mental health field. The aspect of this training most relevant to real estate has been my work in the family court where I negotiated family and financial resolutions for separating couples. I think these skills of listening, understanding, communicating and negotiating are crucial to the real estate sales process. My interest in art and design, together with my past life as a teacher of Japanese cooking and sushi, give me an appreciation of the aesthetics and functionality of houses, especially kitchens, the heart of any home. REAL ESTATE HAS BEEN GOOD TO ME I have bought, renovated and sold properties in great locations in Toronto over the years, but have been living in the Annex now for over 15 years. I’ve lived in Toronto, more or less, all my life, most of it in the downtown central area. I love it, the whole nine yards…the multi-ethnic neighbourhoods, the vibrancy, the openness, the safety. Even with all the associated problems of urban living, it’s a great place to live and I feel that my career in real estate gives me the opportunity to give back in a small way, to bring my life experience together to provide you with the best in real estate service.
SUTTON GROUP ASSOCIATES REALTY INC. This is the Company I work with, situated in the Annex in the Avenue Road/Davenport area. The reason I am here is because of my broker, Henry Balaban. His personal and professional ethics, his real estate expertise , his background as an agent and formidable talents as a strategist give me a sense of security and confidence often much needed in the sometimes ‘minefield’ landscape of real estate. NOW ABOUT ME You won’t find my picture on the local garbage can or bus bench. I work mainly by referral and find this to be a ‘win/win’ situation, though some of my business comes from the ‘general public’ through sign calls, newspaper ads, the internet and open houses. I believe that Trust is the most important element in the client/agent relationship. I work with only a few clients at a time and provide a high level of dedicated service which is a 'win' for the client. And I find more 'job satisfaction' in working this way, so it is a 'win' for me.
